Representational art is a convenient and effective communicator but limited by our shared knowledge. Abstraction on the other hand, can symbolize that beyond language but is mutable, uniquely interpreted by each of us. I like to make work rooted in representation and enlivened by abstract, painterly techniques; a game of hide and seek. My style is found by balancing whimsical exploration, honest description and really good beer. —2018
I have been drawing and painting since childhood, got my Bachelors in Fine Art from The University of Georgia and completed my secondary as a merit scholar here in New York at The Art Students League. Alongside many individual and group shows throughout the city, I regularly exhibit as a Member of the The Salmagundi Club. I also sell landscapes in a Kapa’a town gallery, on Kauai, Hawaii. I am available for portrait, landscape, still life, abstract and mural projects(see my work at the Starbucks Reserve store in Rockefeller Plaza)
