I attend the Hanalei Farmers and Arts Market on Saturday mornings and the Waipa Market on Tuesday afternoon. I also frequent the Princeville Night Market and occasionally visit The Beach House Craft Fair in Poipu. I love these shows in particular because they feature everything: great food, live music and variety of locally grown and handmade goodies.
On the north shore, please look for my original paintings and prints in Hanalei at aFeinberg Gallery/FAFO in the plaza of Ching Young Village. On the south shore, Fish Eye Kauai carry my work in their lovely gallery on the strip in old Koloa’a town. Prints can also be found in historic Hanapepe town at The Banana Patch Studio.
Inspired by endless natural beauty on Kauai, I create paintings in oil, watercolor, acrylic and gouache. The drama of Kauai’s majestic landscape, the whimsy of everyday life, and the charming wildlife of The Garden Island are regular features of my work. I studied at the University of Georgia and The Art Students League of New York City.
I make paintings rooted in representation and enlivened by painterly technique. I endeavor to juggle honest description, whimsy and expressive gesture.
If you would like to see more of my work and stay up to date on new releases please follow my work on Instagram. Mahalo nui loa!
